Terms and Conditions

Effective Date: 11 May 2026

Welcome to Crestora. These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Crestora website, mobile application, and related services.

By creating an account, accessing Crestora, or using any part of the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use Crestora.

01About Crestora

Crestora is a personal life-tracking application that helps users record, organise, and reflect on their life experiences, including memories, achievements, travels, places, cities, books, movies, shows, rankings, photos, and other personal entries.

Crestora is intended to help you document and reflect on your personal journey. It is not a medical, therapeutic, legal, financial, or professional advice service.

v

02Operator of Crestora

Crestora is currently operated by an individual or unincorporated project team. References to "Crestora", "we", "us", or "our" refer to the current operator of the Crestora service.

If Crestora is later transferred to a company, incorporated entity, or other legal structure, these Terms may be updated to reflect the new operator.

v

03Eligibility

Crestora is available to users worldwide, subject to applicable laws.

Teenagers may use Crestora where legally permitted. If you are below the age required in your country to use online services without parental or guardian consent, you may use Crestora only with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

By using Crestora, you confirm that you are legally allowed to use the service in your country and that you have any required parental or guardian consent.

v

04Your Account

To use Crestora, you may need to create an account or sign in through a third-party login provider such as Google or Apple.

You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account unless the activity was caused by our failure to apply reasonable security safeguards.

You should notify us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without authorisation.

v

05Your Content

You may create, upload, save, or submit content to Crestora, including text, photos, memories, achievements, rankings, ratings, profile information, trip records, city records, place records, media-related entries, and other personal records.

You retain ownership of the content you add to Crestora.

By using Crestora, you grant Crestora a limited licence to store, process, display, organise, transmit, and make your content available as needed to operate, maintain, improve, and provide the service.

You are responsible for the content you add to Crestora. You agree not to upload, save, publish, or share content that:

  • infringes another person's rights
  • is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, harmful, or harassing
  • contains malicious code or attempts to interfere with the service
  • exposes another person's private information without permission
  • violates any applicable law, platform policy, or third-party right
v

06Public and Shared Content

Crestora allows users to view certain items, profiles, rankings, achievements, trips, memories, or other content belonging to other users.

This means some content you add to Crestora may be visible to other users or publicly accessible, depending on the feature and your settings.

You are responsible for reviewing what information is visible before adding, publishing, or sharing content on Crestora.

Do not add private, sensitive, or confidential information to public-facing areas unless you are comfortable with others seeing it.

v

07Photos and Media

Crestora allows users to upload photos.

New photos uploaded through Crestora may be stored or processed through Cloudflare R2. Existing uploaded photos may remain on legacy image hosting services, including Imgur, so working user content is preserved.

You must only upload photos that you have the right to use. You must not upload photos that infringe another person's rights or expose another person's private information without permission.

v

08Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse Crestora. This includes not:

  • attempting to access accounts, systems, or data without permission
  • scraping, copying, or harvesting data from Crestora without permission
  • interfering with the security or operation of the service
  • reverse engineering the service except where legally permitted
  • using Crestora to spam, harass, impersonate, or deceive others
  • uploading content that you do not have the right to use
  • using Crestora for unlawful or harmful purposes

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your use of Crestora violates these Terms or may harm Crestora, other users, third-party providers, or the public.

v

09Third-Party Services

Crestora uses third-party services to provide parts of the app.

These may include:

  • Supabase for authentication, database, and related app records
  • Cloudflare R2 for photo file storage
  • Google and Apple for sign-in
  • Netlify for hosting
  • Mapbox for maps
  • Google Places for place search and place-related information
  • Imgur for legacy uploaded photo hosting
  • Apple App Store or other app distribution platforms

Your use of third-party services may also be subject to their own terms and privacy policies. Crestora is not responsible for third-party services that it does not control.

v

10Payments

Crestora is currently free to use.

We may introduce paid features, subscriptions, or premium plans in the future. If we do, the price, billing period, renewal terms, cancellation process, and refund rules will be shown before purchase.

v

11Account Deletion

Crestora provides in-app account deletion.

When you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise personal data associated with your account unless retention is required or permitted for legal, security, backup, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or legitimate operational reasons.

Some residual copies may remain temporarily in backups, logs, or third-party systems before being deleted according to normal retention processes.

Content that was previously public, shared, cached, copied, indexed, or stored by third parties may not be fully removable by Crestora.

v

12Service Availability

We aim to keep Crestora available and reliable, but we do not guarantee that the service will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available.

Crestora may change, suspend, or discontinue parts of the service at any time.

v

13Changes to Crestora and These Terms

We may modify, add, or remove features from Crestora. We may also update these Terms from time to time.

If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users, such as through the app, website, or email.

Your continued use of Crestora after updated Terms take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

v

14Intellectual Property

Crestora, including its name, branding, design, software, interface, features, and underlying technology, is owned by us or our licensors.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from Crestora unless we give you permission or the law allows it.

v

15Feedback

If you provide feedback, ideas, suggestions, or bug reports, you allow us to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

v

16Disclaimers

Crestora is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, reliability, availability, and security.

Crestora does not guarantee that your memories, rankings, achievements, recommendations, generated summaries, or displayed information will always be accurate, complete, available, or suitable for your personal circumstances.

v

17Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Crestora and its operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, goodwill, or business opportunities.

Where liability cannot be excluded, our liability will be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

v

18Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold Crestora harmless from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from your misuse of the service, your content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of another person's rights.

v

19Termination

You may stop using Crestora at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access if you violate these Terms, create risk for Crestora or other users, or if we are required to do so by law.

After termination, provisions that should reasonably survive will continue to apply, including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and dispute-related provisions.

v

20Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, unless another law is required to apply.

You agree that disputes relating to these Terms or Crestora will be handled by the courts of Singapore, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
